Jesus Feeding the 5000

Story: Told as the Bible story unfolds
Others: Printed a visual representation of what 5000 men looked like. Each A4 page had 200 men, therefore, I had to print 25 pages for 5000 men. Besides that, I also printed other figures relative to the figures of the men to show Jesus and the 12 Disciples. A smaller figure of the boy, his 5 loaves and 2 fishes were also printed. This showed the relative size of the food items, the “real” size of the number of men, and of course, the enormity of the miracle.
The hook was to paste the pages on the board and having the kids to “count” in hundreds, then by thousands. The numbers then become more real than an imaginary figure to the children.
